To the guy who was asking about Shamballa Reiki First of all I have to say that I don't beleive there is any such thing. That said, I picked up at my local printers a copy of Reiki I & II. Traditonal Usui System plus the Shamballa Method by Dr John Armitage MDS DD BHons, (I'm also not impressed by strings of initials after peoples names). The main thrust of this type of 'practice is that it is _base_d on Ascended Masters, and Dr. J's top man is St. Germain The Manual. Page 3. Reiki is a gift from myself, God & Germain. most of the Atlantean system has been lost for thousands of years, I am now startint to incarnate it again I am the Ascended Master Germain Page 7. Reiki was a system that was devised in ancient Atlantis, it was created by a high priest in the Temple of Healing, who is now known as the Ascenced Master St. Germain.....St Germain in that life time was given a number of symbols, 22, master number.....then Germain went to Tibet but only shared 3 of the symbols. The above was revealed to John Armitage by the Collective Consciouness of the Lords & Ladies of Shamballa (the Ascened Masters) Then follows the traditional story of Dr. Usui. (does anyone still teach this?) Next Dr. J's version of the 5 ideals. Kanji hand positions - with photo's Pictures of the symbols taken from Stein's book, repeating her mistakes 75 pages in all I must admit, that one thing that really winds me up is people trying to make a fast buck by putting the word Reiki in front of everything. There are enough people trying to turn Reiki into a great pyramid selling scam as it is. Now we have Reiki/aromatherapy/reflexology/crystals/tarot etc. Do I really have to put up with people trying to weld totally inappropriate things to THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ASCENSION REIKI. I really do not understand how Usui and Hayashi are the end-all, be-all of Reiki.  I know they played a *very* important role in dispersing the teachings and understanding of Reiki, but who made them God of all information relating to the practice of Reiki?  Don't you think the Ascended Masters are wise and knowing enough to 'contact' those they deem neccessary? Maybe when I'm contacted, I'll let the Ascended Masters know that they cannot be real, for Usui never foretold of their visit to me<chuckle Love and Light, Gypsyfisch
