Hi, about two weeks ago I tuned to SBS on a Saturday nigh, and I watched a show called Eon Flux. Absolutely loved it, and have been watching it ever since. But I was wondering if someone could fill me in on the background to the story, who is who, etc, because it is a bit confusing at the moment (or is that the point). A recent issue of Cinefantastique had an in-depth article and episode guide for Aeon Flux , and I recommend it as a source for further info. Aeon Flux is without question the most unusual and confusing programmes of all time. There is no explanation for anything at any time, and the series doesn't generally follow much continuity from one episode to the next.    (The 5 minute episodes were very famous because Aeon died at the end of every single one.) Cheers! Grant. P.S. It's an absolutely brilliant show, by the way. Science fiction is, in a sense, trying to construct a myth of the future.                                       IAIN M. BANKS

3) Feminist ideology concerning the medical profession. I wondered about the feminine touch of tranquilising someone's legs before they're cut off by buzzsaws. Ahh yes.  However, this allows the victim to reflect on the irony of having her legs cut off with the very same component she used to assemble in sweatshop labour conditions before she tried to escape.

Those were cool Boy, were they cool. But these new-fangled talkie episodes are like tuning into a really bad soap, and they're so godsawfully DULL and pathetic! I know I sure as hell liked it better when I couldn't work out what was going on. Wake me up when Dot, Enzo and gang blow them off the screen, someone, please. -Nox

Well, I could say something about Foxtel here, but I won't... Seriously, I wouldn't expect ReBoot to be back on Seven for a few months yet - Season Three starts in the US in January. Foxtel (oh damn! I mentioned it) may be showing it at around the same time, but don't quote me on that. There are images from season three at http://uts.cc.utexas.edu/~ifex534/main.html Ciao
