This is a system w/ a ONE button   mouse.     Oh, great, you're putting down a perfectly good computer     system because of a crippled rodent?  Jeez...  =)     Seriously, I think that the Macintosh is one of the best     mainstream (*gasp*, did I actually say that?) computers     for graphics, multimedia, and the such.  What I mean by     mainstream is that it's not a $50,000 SUN or Silicon Graphics     system.     I'm currently running a Macintosh IIcx (68030/16).  Just as     an example of how versatile the Macintosh platform can be,     here's what I'm multitasking at this very moment:  running     Alice, an off-line mail reader and replying to this message;     currently on-line to Leotech NETIS downloading a file with a     modem plugged into my serial modem port; currently on-line to     The Coder's Domain uploading a file with another modem plugged     into my serial printer port; listening to LA-_style_ in my CD-ROM     being controlled by CD-UP!, a package that allows you to play     and program audio CD's with an internal CD-ROM drive; also     multitasking Soft-AT, an MS-DOS 5.0 emulation package for Mac     where I'm currently compressing some miscellaneous files.     Wow!  I can MULTITASK!  I MUST BE A CYBERPUNK!!!  =)     Anyway, like you care...
